Beatmixed reported last month about EMI’s efforts to take down The Beachles, an experimental Beatles/Beach Boys mash-up project. The Boston Herald reports on the man behind the Beachles, Clayton Counts, and his 15 minutes of fame.
Thanks to Victor from Virtual Turntable for pointing out what appears to be another great audio extraction tool. The Audio Scanner VST is an “audio separation tool” developed in the Musical Technology Group at Pompeu Fabra University. I haven’t had time to try it yet, but it’s on my to-do-list.
