Doug Kaye demystifies MP3 encoding in this Podcast and Portable Media Expo presentation. Although his audience is primarily podcasters, there is a lot of useful information in the presentation that will prove helpful for DJs and musicians publishing audio on the net. Give it a listen!

Ravenspiral Guide is a free (licensed under Creative Commons) guide to music theory. It’s fantastic, easy to read, and doesn’t require a Berklee degree to make sense of it. Seriously, it’s quite good.

While not as easy as using Ableton’s warp markers, Johnny Rofrano’s tutorial on fixing tempo drift using Sound Forge is a great alternative solution. Tedious, yes, but it’ll do in a pinch. Why Sony doesn’t already have warp marker capabilities in their ACID beatmapper is beyond me, though!
