Sin Fin

13-Oct-07

Sadly, it appears that Simon Iddol is retiring the the WHA?! bootleg series — the final compilation entitled Sin Fin was released last week. I’m both excited and honored to report that one of my tracks was included. Here’s the full track listing:

Regina Spector VS Morgan Page
02 ElectroSound [...]

Leave Britney Alone

Is this kid for real? Yikes!

“Chocolate Rain” Remix Contest

15-Aug-07

Tay Zonday’s 15 minutes of fame isn’t quite over yet. Known best for his viral YouTube hit Chocolate Rain, Tay is offering his Internet meme for remixing through ACIDplanet. I’m sure the results are bound to be just as frightening as the original.

Bootie Turns 4!

09-Aug-07

Has it really been 4 years? It seems like it was just yesterday that Bootie was a small gathering of mostly bootleggers inside Cherry Bar, a small dance bar in San Francisco’s SOMA district. How times have changed — Bootie is all grown up. Happy 4th birthday, Bootie!

WebJay To Close

24-May-07

Bummer. I rather liked Webjay, too.

Monome 40h

22-May-07

YouTube is full of weird beat making devices and controllers. Case in point: the Monome 40h, “a reconfigurable grid of sixty-four backlit buttons.” Cool stuff.

More stuff here. (Thanks Thibaud!)

Music Licensing Comes Late to the Mash-Up Party

24-Apr-07

ABC News has posted an interesting article on mash-ups, Greg Gillis (a.k.a. Girl Talk), and the current state of licensing and mash-ups.
