I’ve always loved Playgroup’s electro cover of Behind the Wheel — almost as much as the original. After successfully extracting a clean vocal acapella from Depeche Mode’s original, I knew these two versions of Behind the Wheel needed to be united as a proper mashup. The result is Depeche Mode’s Martin Gore and Dave Gahan performing over the modern production aesthetic of Playgroup’s Ewan Pearson and Trevor Jackson — the best of both, together as one!

Heh, just found the playgroup instrumental on my computer, must have ripped it from the vinyl ages ago. Naturally i then thought of adding the DM acapella. But google gave me your edit instead of the acapella, and saved me alot of work to find out what it would sound like. Nice one, cheers
