I’m excited to report that not only is San Francisco’s Bootie going on again this weekend, but I’ll be spinning in the upstairs room with my good friends David X and DJ Tripp. Both of these gentlemen are amazing DJs that you won’t want miss — certainly worth every penny of the Bootie cover charge. (Trivia: I got my start DJing nearly 19 years ago with David X. If you think I’m bad now, you should have heard me then.) It’s DJ Tripp’s birthday, and I know he’s expecting plenty of gifts and sexual favors, so please come prepared. (Just kidding!)
Here’s the lowdown:
Bootie is this Saturday, April 14th, 2007 at the DNA Lounge. The headliner is DJ Axel from Los Angeles — he’ll be giving away copies of his new CD “Breakin’ the Law.” Haven’t heard it myself but I hope to snag a copy and let you know how it is. Joining Axel in the downstairs room are resident DJs Adrian, Mysterious D, Party Ben, and Dada. And as I mentioned before, David X, DJ Tripp, and myself (Matt Hite) will be providing the upstairs entertainment. Smash-Up Derby, Bootie’s house mash-up band, will be performing at 11 pm prompt. And of course Bootie wouldn’t be Bootie without the midnight mashup show, this time featuring Starr Munro & Steven Satyricon. Lots of fun — hope you can make it!
Bootie (inside the DNA Lounge) is located at 375 11th Street is San Francisco, California. Doors open at 9 pm. Cover is $12 (2-for-1 before 10:30). Get there early for free CDs!
