Native Instruments vs. Stanton

Stanton and Native Instruments recently dissolved their Final Scratch relationship, leaving a lot of customers stuck with a proprietary audio interface and dead end software. In light of this dilemma, Stanton has decided to “open” access to their Scratch Amp — basically betting the farm that 3rd party software developers will want to implement native support for the interface. Native Instruments, on the other hand, is moving forward with their own hardware/software digital DJ bundle.

Looks to be a nasty break up if you ask me. It’s times like this that I’m happy to be a Serato customer.
