iScratch

iscratch.jpg

Mac heads might find iScratch, a DJ scratch emulator, an interesting tool to add to their arsenal. Apparently it implements all the standard tricks of the scratching trade: push, pull, baby, release, chirp, tear, hold, etc. Would love to see something like this come out for Windows but until then I’ll just look on in envy. Check out the review on SkratchWorx.

  1. Well, for the Win32 part - FL Studio is bundled with a Scratcher effect that can do this. Here’s the lowdown with tons of examples and exercises for mousing around. . Also, Klanglabs offers the SXRATCH vst. Not sure about this, but iScratch seems more suited for offline programming than live performance.

Wave Traveller for Fruity Loops is every bit as good as iScratch, and the interface is much friendlier.
