I think it’s a prank. I couldn’t find any mention of this incident in any of the local Portland papers, and couldn’t find any more info online about this club. The only news about this event seems to be coming from the guy’s website (only recently created online) and his myspace page.
I believe this was a hoax, a publicity stunt.
So I’m just really gullible, eh? The whole thing on the blog seems kind of “contrived,” but in all fairness I would never want to dismiss it as bullshit if it all really went down. Who knows.

More of a gag than a publicity stunt, it was mostly done for fun. With that said, the McDonald’s posting was, yeah, intended to give it away to those who weren’t sure about it yet. In either case, thanks for blogging it, Matt. Your blog continues to inspire me.
