It certainly hasn’t been a good week for DRM. Earlier this week Engadget reported that Windows Media DRM was a goner, and now they are also reporting that songs “protected” with iTunes v6 FairPlay DRM have been liberated. Read more about QTFairUse6 on this JHymn thread.

I’ve seen the Lemur from Jazzmutant, but this new multitouch sensor video demonstration is absolutely amazing. I wouldn’t mind using it as a DJ control surface!
I recently discovered Ramdom Thoughts, an excellent podcast dedicated to mash-up music and underground remixes. It seems as though there aren’t that many mash-up oriented podcasts out there — I’d love to hear what other readers have come across. Everyone’s a DJ these days, right? Amy Kellner over at Viceland takes some serious jabs at the DJ profession, calling it the “biggest fucking bullshit con of all time.” It’s obviously a humor piece — a real good laugh — so don’t get too bent out of shape.
