Move over Serato and Final Scratch — make room for your new competition: M-Audio’s new Conectiv interface and Torq DJ software. You have to check out the video on the Sonic State web site to truly appreciate the new features these guys are bringing to the table: ReWire support, a built-in sampler, “quick scratch” library, effects, and most shocking — an auto beatmatch feature! Now, gearlust aside, I personally am not a fan of M-Audio hardware (crap drivers and cheap plastic gear) but I am very excited give this is a spin and compare it to Serato.

hey,
ur introduction to laptop dj’in was great! i’m using Virtual DJ to do my dj’ing. would u recommend some other software?
I’m a Serato man, all the way! Of course this is used in conjunction with turntables (or CD decks). Outside of that, people seem to love Ableton for live DJ-ish performances!
