San Francisco Megamix Circa 1996

My first attempt at digital editing was during my first year at Berkeley. I was taking a class on the history of San Francisco, and one of my assignments allowed me to explore my more creative talents in audio editing. Composed entirely of San Francisco-based house music artists, this megamix is an attempt to capture the diverse sounds of electronic musicians in the area. The two-minute mix was also featured in a multimedia museum installation and was featured in a San Francisco historical CD-ROM project. Although the edits are super clean, the sound quality is unfortunately a bit lacking. (My hard drive wasn’t large enough to hold anything beyond a two minute 22khz mono file.)

In any case, appreciate this for what it is — a trip down memory lane. Give it a listen!
