In June of 1999, I got my hands on a great remix production tool called ACID Pro. Each night after work I would spend at least 4 or 5 hours learning how to use this program. After about 3 weeks of tinkering and experimentation, I completed production of this Book of Love remix and sent it off to Razormaid, a DJ service of long history and reputation. To my delight, they wrote back informing me that they planned to feature it on the third edition of their Members’ Revenge series.
Technically, the mix is ok. I was working only from vinyl and had to spend a bit of time digitally restoring it. No drum machines or anything fancy like that — just careful editing and isolation of each drum noise to create a new tempo pattern that was true to the original instrumentation of the song. It’s very nineteen eighties sounding. Frightening, I know.
Anyways, just another one from the archive! Give it a listen.

That’s a very cool remix. Sounds so …. modern!
i’m surprised mr. watt hasn’t already e-mailed demanding you remove the song from your site. ha ha ha
i liked your edit, I use to edit my new wave records and still do, although now, i tend to add beats through ACID then edit on SOUNDFORGE.
good job.
