Dr. Pepper Cashes In On Mash-ups

Mash-ups are fast becoming an important marketing tool. According to AllHipHop.com, “[a] $5 million dollar ad promoting Dr. Pepper featuring the music of Will Smith, Kiss, EMP and Cyndi Lauper ‘mashed’ together” is currently under production. It makes perfect sense for the marketing agencies to leverage the mash-up — the genre clash is bound to appeal to the largest age range and demographic possible.

  1. Not only have the ads already been produced, but Dr. Pepper killed the campaign so you won’t be seeing them on TV. But you can see them online.
