The British are coming! This coming Saturday, November 12th, 2005, San Francisco’s mash-up club Bootie will be featuring four — count ‘em — four guest DJs from the UK! The main guest DJ is Act of Dog, one of the guys responsible for Mylo’s official mash-up release Dr. Pressure. Other UK guests include Philmanns, Supercollider, and Lumpy. Plus, it’s the return of Strangely Familiar from Nashville. This month will also feature a Morcheeba mash-up CD giveaway, with Ross Godfrey from Morcheeba mashing up his own band’s music. These are full 19-track CDs using Morcheeba tracks (old, new and unreleased) as the backing with various hip-hop vocals throughout. This release is unofficial, so we’ll be one of the only places you can get this CD.
The Cherry Bar & Lounge is located at 917 Folsom (@ 5th) in the beautiful city of San Francisco, California. Doors open at 9 pm and close at 2 am. $5 before 10 pm, $8 after.
