Disco Dance Fever

I used to tell everyone I wanted an over-sized disco ball when asked what I’d like for a Christmas or birthday present.  After seeing these videos and pictures of MIT’s student-constructed, computer-controlled LED illuminated dance floor, I’ve changed my mind — I’ll take this disco floor over the disco ball any day!

Crossfader Launches

GarageSpin is reporting that Microsoft has launched a beta of Crossfader, their new DJ / producer community web site.  Complete with forums, blogs, and music hosting, it’s poised to be the DJ and producer centric version of tribe.net or MySpace.  You can decide for yourself if that’s a good thing or a bad thing!

Dave Matthews “Mash-Up Kit” Hits the Net

Fan site Weekly Davespeak is hosting a mash-up kit of solo parts from a leaked Dave Matthews single.  I have never personally heard a Dave Matthews mash-up, so I’m quite interested to hear the results of this effort!  Check out the site for more details or download the sample kit directly.
