IMO reason kicks the crap out of any mac based program for flexability couple that with acid pro and cubase and you have a virtual studio. the part i relly dislike about the mac is the fact that A: its a pain in the ass to get it hooked up with my studio (not enough ports) and the hardware to connect it is way over priced, and i havent even talked about the software yet lol... the only thing i use on the mac is ableton live for live remixing at gigs as well as i use it with final scratch. ya mac's are great. but i can still build a PC just as good for half the cost. I'm a TOTAL beginner. Today, I tried combining two mp3's in Garageband, but I couldn't find any way to adjust the tempo of one track to match the tempo of the other. Is there a better program for creating mash ups on the Mac? One that doesn't require an engineering degree to understand, but still has time-stretching capabilities? It seems Acid Pro & Adobe Audition are only available for Windows and Mackie Tracktion seems pretty technical. Any advice for a newbie? I’m interested in using my Powerbook to create mash ups.
