It’s pretty amazing to watch these videos of Z-Trip pulling off his blends and mash-ups live in concert (there’s even one of him performing with Beck @ Coachella). Anyone else notice he does some of his tricks on CDJs? (via Between Thought and Expression)
Jon Johansen — aka DVD Jon — has released pymusique, a clever program which is able to actually bypass the iTunes Music Store’s ability to add DRM to a song during purchase and download. Gizmodo has a little blurb about this cool wireless DJ gadget!
Victor at Virtual Turntable is reporting that the Wired Fine Art of Sampling contest results are in. I’m actually not too crazy about the Militia Mix winner; although it’s very creative, it didn’t blow me away. My favorite in the Freestyle Mix contest is Revolve by His Boy Elroy, which coincidently did blow me away.
