The St. Louis Post-Dispatch just ran a pretty decent — although typical — mash-ups 101 article. I’d like to see these authors write something beyond the Gray Album and Collision Course rendition of mash-up history, though.

Mash-up producer IDC is set to release his second original single on Corsair Records entitled Payola. Available April 4, 2005, Payola will come in two versions — a classic 3 minute 7 inch single aimed at radio play and an extended remix which is already getting regular play as part of IDC’s own DJ sets [...]
