MTV invents mash-up

… or so this author claims. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry!

MTV’s parent Viacom should buy this newspaper and place it under Simon & Schuster’s fiction unit after this outrageous claim. A mash-up b/t this reporter and a simple Google search makes for a new trend-setting movement, too. Accurate journalism…

It’s not just that claim, it’s the rest of the article – she seems to be suggesting that every “unlikely” collaboration in the history of the world was a “mash-up” (and of course, therefore invented by MTV!!!)

That author doesn’t quite understand that a mash-up isn’t an original piece of music (like Nelly and Tim Mcgraw on Over and Over or Loretta Lynn and Jack White) You think a reporter whould do their research huh?
