I’d previously held off on publicly announcing this, but it appears that Victor is letting the cat out of the bag on his own blog.  Hard at work the past few weeks putting together a new site called CC Mixter, Victor is now actively soliciting beta testers for this ambitious project.  In conjunction with Creative Commons, Victor has created a hybrid "ACIDPlanet + RemixFight + Friendster" style site which facilitates collaboration, mash-up, and remixing efforts amongst producers and musicians.  The most significant thing about the project, however, is the affiliation with Creative Commons, ensuring that all samples, music, and derivative works posted are 100% RIAA free and unencumbered by traditional copyright restrictions.
