How Wal-Mart owns music retailing — for better or worse.

Wal-Mart wants to price every CD it sells at 10 dollars. Labels can either fall in line by providing the price cuts needed to make this happen or kiss 138 million potential buyers goodbye. Rolling Stone magazine takes a candid look at how the world’s largest retailer has the music industry by the balls.

The ways things are today, everyone and thier sister are making music. alot of these obscure artist are more enjoyable that the mainstream artist. maybe some of the a$r guys at record label would do the world a favor and start exploring the internets cache of talent, that has yet to be discovered. an example is
