Commodore plans to challenge iPod

The Register is reporting that Commodore, everyone’s favorite old school computer company, has arisen from the dead to develop a line of digital players they’re hoping will be iPod killers. (Isn’t that the dream of every company producing an MP3 player?) The best part is they’re all named after their big hit brands of yesteryear: the m-Pet, f-Pet, and e-Vic. The reality is, however, that the Commodore brands were purchased by Dutch company Tulip, so the brains that brought us the original Commodore are not the same bringing us these new audio products.
