The Houston Press is running a piece on Final Scratch. I haven’t used it myself, but it definitely looks cool. I don’t think it would be very practical to set up in the middle of a gig, though! This is a great start, but the Final Scratch folks need to focus on better integration scenarios. Right now you have to rip apart a club installation to put the scratch amp inline between the mixer and turntables. Couldn’t some one come up with a way to read and process the time code via the effect loop of most quality mixers?
