The Globe and Mail’s article on “recombinant culture” has plenty of commentary on the mash-up scene. It’s really quite a good article and is a lot more insightful than the typical mash-up coverage we’ve seen as of late.

Thanks for posting it. Finally it seems an article that actually ‘gets it’.
I’ve recently started re-reading Warhol’s Popism, and as I was reading it, I realized how similar his ideas on art and reappropriation were to some of the ideas behind this current craze of mash-up culture.
