The Globe and Mail’s article on “recombinant culture” has plenty of commentary on the mash-up scene. It’s really quite a good article and is a lot more insightful than the typical mash-up coverage we’ve seen as of late.
DJ Muggs has plans to produce a legit all mash-up album. “As far as his album, Muggs said that he would be using largely original composition from Interscope Records, ” AllHipHop.com is reporting.
The SF Weekly is running a feature on Z-Trip which says some less than favorable things about mash-up artists:
