A great review of the Grey Album appears in the American Prospect. The true impact, the author states, is that of crossover potential. The fan base is expanded, crossover potentials are multiplied; more black kids buy The White Album, and more white kids buy The Black Album. Pop lives, and we all win.

CNet pays Eliot Van Buskirk to play with MP3 hardware and software. Now Osborne/McGraw Hill is paying him to write books about it. Poor guy! Burning Down the House: Ripping, Recording, Remixing, and More!, hit the shelves late last year. What follows is my review and thoughts on this book.
