I almost missed this one in my email — IDC and Soundhog will be the flagship artists on new label Corsair Records. Here’s an excerpt from the mailing:
The first two Corsair signings are artists of such talent that it belies belief that they have not had material officially released before. IDC and Soundhog, hailing from London and North Wales respectively, are both artist/producer/DJs - something perhaps Phil Spector or Brian Wilson might be known as if they were young contemporary artists in their prime today.
A prestigious record of radio airplay over the past year brought them both to our attention and they are both currently receiving exposure to an audience of over 500 million people with specially commissioned work for MTVNE.
The first two releases on Corsair will be four-track 12 inch singles (with an accompanying free CD) from both artists, with the first release scheduled for Easter 2004.
Congrats to Soundhog and IDC for the much deserved attention and vinyl distribution deal!
