You must download DJ Food / Strictly Kev’s superchunk, Raiding the 20th Century — no excuses! It’s probably the best cut-up bastard pop project I’ve ever heard. Makes 2 Many DJ’s look like amateurs.

It’s very good, certainly, but worthwhile remembering that Kev didn’t actually *make* 99% of the bastard-pop tracks used - many people are forgetting this. However the spoken word sections were very nice indeed.
Absolutely, yes. Whereas 2 Many DJ’s produce all their own mash-ups, Kev has incorporated the best of the best from the mash-up community along with his own original work. Here’s the track listing from XFM’s web site which includes the proper credit to other bootleggers.

I was listening to this VS song… DJ Bruce vs Malcolm Mclaren Vogue Tribute to Madonna. And I wanted to find more information on this song, can anybody help me?
The older examples were often known as cut-ins, not cutups (a cutup being some sort of comedian). The name cut-in makes sense, given that something is being inserted next to something else, not necessarily removed. Burroughs’ versions of the approach were more based in random juxtaposition of words, rarely deliberate choices of combined content.
